A power cable technician from Croatia was killed on Monday in an accident at Statnett’s facilities at Lower Røssåga power plant in Hemnes in Nordland.
This is the second fatal accident at Statnett’s facilities in three weeks.
The deceased is a man in his 30s, police said late Monday night.
– Police in Helgeland received a notification of an accident at work just before 15 o’clock, and at 16 o’clock the police received the message that one person had died as a result of this, said police Superintendent Linda Rømma in Nordland police.
The deceased man was from Croatia and was employed in a subsidiary to Nettpartner, working for Statnett in Hemnes.
