The government will remove the requirement that refugees must have completed the asylum interviews before they are allowed to work in this country,  TV2 News reports.

The proposal is part of the White Paper on integration policy submitted by Immigration and Integration minister Sylvi Listhaug (FRP) Wednesday.
–  We have to know the identity of those who are to enter the Norwegian labour market,  – we must know who they are. But if there is a high probability that you will get to stay in Norway and get residency, you can start working, she said to the channel.
The need to clarify the identity of asylum seekers coming to Norway, has long been an important argument against giving these people the opportunity to work before the interview at Immigration (UDI) has been completed.
Agenda-affiliated Sylo Taraku, who is the author of a recent book on integration, believes the new measure will have a limited impact, precisely because the requirements for identity clarification is strict, according to TV 2.
