The Ministry of Justice will review the rules of residency for religious leaders. Sylvi Listhaug believes it is unacceptable that religious organizations in Norway invite people who undermine Norwegian values.
Ministry of Justice and Public Security tells the newspaper Aftenposten that they will review the regulations concerning residence permits for imams, religious leaders and preachers.
– It is unacceptable that religious organizations in Norway invite people that specifically undermine Norwegian values, says Immigration and Integration Minister Sylvi Listhaug to the newspaper.
Listhaug thinks you should have the right to express your opinions, but says she is keen to thwart the emergence of radical religious groups in Norway who advocate subversive attitudes.
