Lithuanian stabbed in the abdomen at Frøya

A Lithuanian man is hospitalized after being stabbed in the abdomen at Frøya in Sør-Trøndelag. The circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear.
The message about the case came shortly after 16  on Saturday afternoon. The injured were taken care of by paramedics before being transported by an air ambulance to St. Olav’s Hospital in Trondheim.  On Saturday night it was still not known how serious his injuries were.
According to police, there was a woman on the premises as well as man. She is not a suspect in the case,  Adresseavisen writes.
– We do not know how these two are connected. We suspect there are several people involved since we do not know how this happened, head of operations Bjørn Handegard in Trøndelag Police District says.
Both the woman and the stabbed man are from Lithuania, the police said.
The island municipality Frøya is located in the outmost Trondheim Fjord, north of Hitra. The municipality has just over 4,600 inhabitants.
