The nearly five-week train driver strike is over but rail traffic will not be normal on Monday and not until Tuesday trains running on Østfoldbanen as usual.

– We do our utmost to ensure that the trains are going as normal as possible but there will probably be some disturbance on Monday, says CEO Geir Isaksen in NSB.

Sunday afternoon reported NSB that there will be no local train on Østfoldbanen until Tuesday morning.

– We need time to position trains and personnel. Many trains in eastern Norway will therefore still be set, writes NSB on their websites.

Long-distance trains, however, will resume as normal on Monday morning and the same applies to the Vossabanen and local trains in Bergen.

In recent weeks, nearly 300 trains have been canceled every day because of the strike.

Tens of thousands of rail commuters in Eastern Norway, Bergen area and by Sørlandsbanen have been affected.
