A lot of heat records may be heading for a fall this week, and there may be temperatures of 25 degrees or more. The southern part of Norway is enjoying an “Indian summer”.

–  If we get temperatures around 25 degrees  in September, records will be broken,  Yr tweets.

A map with a lot of orange and reddish tones have been sent, which means there will be temperatures well over 20 degrees many places along Oslofjorden and in Rogaland and in the south of Hordaland .

A high pressure is brewing over Scandinavia, and that is good news for those who do not want the summer to be over yet.

– Some pleasant records after two months of rain records will be a good thing, Anders Sivle, meteorologist  at Bergen Weather Forecast says.

Meteorologists  think  that Bergen might even get  one or more tropical nights – and that is a very unusual occurenence in September.

Heat records have already been beaten in Oslo. 16.9 degrees on Thursday night last week is the highest night temperature ever measured in the capital in September, Jostein Mamen,  climate scientist at the Meteorological Department, informed  Aftenposten.

He added that the warm weather has to do with the climate change.

– Generally speaking we can say that autumns have become milder. This can be seen in the context of the big picture and the planet getting warmer.

Global heat records have been beaten every month over the past six months. The reason is apparently anthropogenic global warming and the weather phenomenon El Nino.
