A man is arrested and charged in for a 14 years old murder case in Oslo.
Egil Tostrup Bråten (23) from Hedmark was killed with a stab weapon outside his residence in the city center the night of Tuesday, November 18th, 2002.
The perpetrator was never taken. Now, 14 years later, said Oslo police that a man is arrested and charged in the case, NRK news.
Police have called a press conference on Wednesday at 17:00, where they will report in more detail about his arrest.
Despite full-scale investigation, the police have not managed to solve the murder case.
Bråten was found dead just off the gateway to the studio in Nordahl Bruns gate 22, where he lived. A witness said he saw two men who may have pursued Bråten when he was on his way home that evening.
The two individuals were identified, despite the fact that police later secured both audio and film recordings of them.
Police main theory at the time was that Bråten was killed in connection with a robbery. Several witnesses shall be heard bickering around the time when 23 years old man was killed.
