A man has been arrested after a boy was, allegedly, sexually molested in a church in Romsdal.
The abuse allegedly occurred in a church earlier this month, when the 14 year old boy attended an event organized by the Norwegian Church, reported Romsdals Budstikke
The man, who was hired by the Church in connection with the event, was arrested on Tuesday. There were other adults in the church who reacted to the man’s behavior.
According to police officer, Dag Erling Austvik, the man and boy gave differing versions of events to the police.
‘The accused has been released after interrogation, but the indictment is maintained and investigation will continue in the coming days’, said Austvik.
‘No final charge has been issued, but we are investigating suspected, criminal, sexual acts against a 14 year old child’, added Austvik.
