A man who was picked up from a car that landed in the sea in Molde on Wednesday morning is confirmed dead, writes newspaper Romsdals Budstikke.
He was unconscious when he was picked up and was flown to hospital, writes the newspaper.
The man was picked up from 15 to 20 meters under water by rescue divers from Ålesund. He received CPR on site, before being flown on to St. Olav’s Hospital in Trondheim by air ambulance. Soon after, at 1pm, Rbnett was informed by the police that the man died after the incident.
The information was received by the police that a car had driven into the sea near the fire station in Molde at 9:31am Wednesday morning. 30-40 minutes later, he was brought onto land.
Police said rescue divers did not find anyone else.
