A man in his late 20’s died in a diving accident near Dyrøybrua in Dyrøy municipality in Troms on Monday.
He was together with another man of the same age stated Troms police district.
“We were notified of the accident at 18.40 when the man he dived with reported it. We still do not know much about what has happened,”said operations manager Steinar Gudmundsen of Troms police district to NTB news.
Two ambulances, a helicopter and a police car moved to the site, wrote Nordlys newspaper.
According to a local girl there is a shipwreck near the area where the two were diving. It is popular both with local divers and visitors.
The man’s relatives have been notified.
