A man was stabbed in Ålesund on Saturday night. The suspected perpetrator was arrested on a few hours later.
The condition of the man who was stabbed was described by the hospital in Alesund as stable on Sunday morning, said operations manager John Kåre Flo in Møre and Romsdal police district told to news agency NTB.
– A man was found stabbed outside an apartment in the city center at 03:00 on Sunday and taken to hospital. We searched for the alleged offender in the city and arrested him by 08:00 o’clock, says Flo.
Both the victim and the alleged offender is acquaintance of the police. Both linked to drug environment in the city.
– I do not know who reported it, but we think it is someone from the community who were presenting their alerted us, says operational manager.
The police have the knife they believe was used in the stabbing.
