A man was taken to Ullevål hospital with serious injuries after a stabbing at Bjølsen in Oslo on Sunday morning. Police are investigating the case.

At 6:15 on Sunday morning police got a message from a taxi driver who had found a man seriously injured by an intersection in Maridalsveien.

The police came out, and the man was taken to Ullevål hospital. The sequence of events leading to the stabbing are unknown.

‘We are talking about a 21 year old man who lives in Oslo. He doesn’t live in the place where he was found, and we are not 100 percent sure if this is where it happened’, said Tor Gulbrandsen, operations manager at Oslo police.

Just before 8 o’clock on Sunday, police said that health reviews showed the injured man was in a stable condition.

The perpetrator is still at large and police are asking people for tips.

‘We are now in the investigation phase, and working broadly to discover what could have happened’, said Gulbrandsen.

Police are hoping gain a clearer picture of the matter after questioning the man.
