A 23 year old man threatened another man with a chainsaw on Saturday night. The shocked victim came from the incident with cuts.

The victim managed to overpower the 23 year old who was arrested and, with another person, had control of him when the police arrived.

Both the victim and the detained man were examined by ambulance personnel on the spot. The former had cuts on his arms, while the 23 year old also suffered injuries.

“We do not know yet whether the injuries came from the chainsaw. It is also uncertain whether the perpetrator started the trouble,’’ said operations manager of the Southwest Police District, Brit Randulff, to NTB news just before 02.00.

The police who investigated the case are to clarify the course of action.

“There are no indications that the two knew each other,” explained Randulff. Nor were the two men known to the police from before.

Testimonies are being heard on Sunday.
