A 38-year-old man has been sentenced to three years and three months in prison for having sexually molested a woman he gave massages at Holmenkollen Park in Oslo in autumn 2014.
According to the verdict of the Oslo District Court the man molested her while she lay on her stomach and was given a massage. The court put great trust in her explanation and and based its verdict on it, the newspaper Dagbladet writes.
“The credible statement of the injured party contrast greatly with the defendant’s statement, which at several points is not very credible,” said the ruling.
The 38-year-old was not called in for questioning until seven months after the incident, which the district court compensated with reduced prison sentence. The man has always denied culpability and therefore appealed to the Court of Appeal.
38-year-old was also ordered to pay the woman NOK 150,000 in damages, plus replace her financial losses at about 22,000 kroner.
