International military exercise cost more than 300 million NOK

The International Winter exercise called Cold Response, has cost the military over 300 million NOK. Three million of those are set to replace broken forests, cultivated fields, and roads that was destroyed during the drill.

A total of 272 different injuries have been reported to the military. Tanks and other military units and equipment have destroyed roads and forest during exercise, according to the newspaper Klassekampen.

The US cargo aircraft C5 Galaxy landed at Værnes Airport last Monday in order to fetch the rest of the materials that were used during the exercise.

The exercise ends officially on Tuesday.
