The 24-year-old woman who went missing in Flåm while hiking in the mountains on Sunday,  was found dead on   Monday night.

The woman, who is from Canada, was found dead at 8:01 p.m. in the area where they received  signals from her mobile phone.
– That she was found in this area, is consistent with our assesment that she has fallen down from the mountain,   Trond Hatlenes, operations manager  of West police, says.
The missing woman , who was hiking in the mountains by herself  in Flåm on Sunday morning, was  found by a rescue helicopter.

The police assumed that the woman, who was working as a guide in the area, has gone to the mountains Vidmesnosi, which is 1,263 meters above sea level. The woman was reported missing by her  employer on Monday and was last seen at six o’clock Sunday morning.
Vidmesnosi is located on the left side of Flåmsdalen on the train ride down from Myrdal to Flam.
