For four weeks, Kristina Sviglinskaja has been following the trial of the murder of her eight year old daughter. Her former partner denies having committed murder.

When the trial starts on Monday, the Lithuanian who stands accused of murdering 8 year old Monika Sviglinskaja at Sotra in 2011, is to testify. He denies having killed her.
– I do not believe that she killed herself. Somebody killed her, but it wasn’t me, the 34-year-old told VG.
He believes he can explain why police found his DNA in several places on Monika’s body. The eight year old was found dead five weeks after he and Monika’s mother had broken up.
– I expect nothing from him and I’m not surprised that he denies committing the crime. I don’t expect anything else, the mother told NTB.
She will follow the case
Kristina Sviglinskaja will also testify in court, and will then follow the rest of the four-week-long case in Nordhordland District Court.
She will then get to  hear the testimonies of the police, acquaintances, family members, neighbors, landlords and prison inspectors. Several pieces of evidence, such as DNA material linking 34-year-old case, text messages and forensic reports, will also be presented.
