The Norwegian Kurdish writer and politician, Mullah Krekar,has been charged with threats after Krekar published a new video.
In a video this week, Krekar urges, among other things,to attack unbelievers who attack Islam, TV 2 reported.
Author, Mariwan Halabjayi lives at a secret address after Krekar sent a fatwa against him ten years ago. He told TV 2 that he will ask the police to take action against the mullah, who is actually named Najumuddin Faraj Ahmad, on Monday. Halabjayi says many people from Kurdistan have contacted him after this last video.
Mulla Krekar’s lawyer, Brynjar Meling, commented on the forthcoming police report by referring to Krekar’s freedom of expression.
‘’He has freedom of expression. He uses it. His medium is the internet because the Norwegian authorities have deprived him of the opportunity to go home,’’ said the lawyer.
