The Swedish and Norwegian government signed this week an agreement giving Swedes with Swedish license chance to drive scooters also in Norway.
While Norwegians for several years have been able to run with Norwegian driving license in Sweden, the Swedes had to take driving course in Norway, but Wednesday signing the two governments an agreement giving Swedes with Swedish license to Run scooter in Norway, wrote newspaper Nationen.
According to the newspaper, by end of year there would be 82,123 snowmobiles in Norway, and with Wednesday’s agreement, the number of scooters that can run in the Norwegian mountains will quadruple.
– We have pushed on this issue for some time now. Yesterday we received an encouraging email from our sister organization in Sweden, said Secretary Arve Lønning from importers Association would be in Snowmobile.
The arrangement causes the 24 Norwegian municipalities, plus the whole Finnmark, few Swedish scooter equipages in their mountains.
Transport Minister Ketil Solvik-Olsen will be in Stockholm on Wednesday, the newspaper received confirmation from the Ministry of Transport.
