Bergen can relish with a new record, and not too much of a surprise that it regards rain.

In the past three months, it has rained so much in the city that the old record has been splashed out.

A total of 1,399.2 millimeters has fallen over the past three months in the city within the seven mountains. The old record was 1,397.6 millimeters from November 2006 to January 2007.

And while the rain is characteristically fallen on the city in Hordaland, the snow has begun to lay on the roads in Finnmark. The meteorologists report difficult driving conditions in the coastal and fjord areas of the county, recommending the use of vehicle tires that suit the driving conditions. They set the danger level to yellow, but alert at the same time that the danger level is increasing.
