The Postal Office will now adopt new technology that allows you to track small packages all the way to your mailbox.
It’s a so-called radio frequency identification that will make it possible to track the package from the purchase in the online store until it is in the mailbox.
– Our research shows that consumers often are trying to keep track on the whereabouts of the package, usually several times a day. We also know that many people want to get the order delivered at their own homes and this technology is perfect for those purposes,  Dag Mejdell in the Postal Office says .
The Postal Office will equip packages with small computer chips of the same type that are already in use in access cards, charge cards, tickets and on animals.
