The floating museum Noah’s Ark, which collided with a coastguard vessel in Oslo a week ago, have cast off and set sail towards Sandefjord.
None supporting structures of the ark were damaged when it crashed into a coast guard ship docked in Oslo on June 10, Dagen reports . The external damages were repaired this week.
Late Friday night the ship leftLangkaia in Oslo. The departure was delayed by several days because of the incident, but according to manager Mirjam Schepik, the museum will probably be able to open in Sandefjord as scheduled on Monday.
After spending about a month in Sandefjord, Noah’s Ark – which has no own motor – will be towed to Fredrikstad.
The question of who is responsible for the accident is still unclear.The coastguard vessel Nornen was also damaged in the collision.
