Eight Norwegian organizations are asking the government to receive more refugees in Norway.

In a joint letter to Prime Minister Erna Solberg organizations NOAS, Norwegian People’s Aid, Amnesty International, Caritas, NRC, CARE, the Atlas Alliance and the Council on Ecumenical government are encouraging 2,000 refugees who are in Greece and Italy, will be relocated to Norway and that the proportion of Syrian refugees be  increased by 500 people.

– In connection with the increase in the number of asylum seekers coming to Norway last year, a large number of reception centers were developed, that now stand empty. This means that Norway now has large spare capacity to accommodate asylum seekers, according to the letter.
