Norwegian police in place in Dijon – questioning begins Tuesday
Tuesday begins the first questionings of Makaveli Lindén, the Swedish 20-years-old who is charged with the murder at Majorstuen in Oslo.
The Norwegian police arrived in the French city of Dijon Monday afternoon, and Monday night they were in talks with French police.
“We have not met with the alleged murderer yet, this will happen tomorrow,” said police adviser Christian Hatlo from the Oslo police district last night, to NTB.
Lindén was arrested at the train station in Dijon a week ago. He is charged with killing Heikki Bjørklund Paltto (24) at Majorstuen on Monday, the 15 October, in addition to committing an aggravated robbery earlier that day.
The 20-years-old has since been imprisoned in anticipation of extradition to Norway. It may take a month before it happens.
French police would not comment on the matter on Monday night but inform that more information will be received from them on Wednesday.
It is not known how long Norwegian police will stay in Dijon, or how thoroughly they are planning to conduct the questioning. According to Hatlo, the hearings of Lindén must be conducted by a judge and not in the prison where the Swedish 20-years-old alleged killer is incarnated.
