Obama: – Cubans decide their own future

A better relationship between the US and Cuba can give the people of both countries a brighter future,  President Barack Obama says.
This is a new day for Cuba and the United States, Obama said at a news conference with his Cuban colleague Raul Castro in Havana Monday.
– Un nuevo día, said Obama, who underscored the message by repeating itself in Spanish.
The President stressed that the US will continue to give their opinion on the importance of democracy in the Caribbean communist country. At the same time, he assured that he United States that will  decide the country’s future.
– Cuba’s future will be decided by the Cubans themselves, said Obama, who is the first US president to visit the country during his presidential reign since 1928.
The normalization of relations between the US and Cuba began in 2014, and last year the diplomatic relations between the countries were restored.
