Obama: – A day we will never forget

President Barack Obama began by quoting the Bible when he honored those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. – Do not let love and truth forsake you, said Obama.

The president started the day with a moment of silence inside the White House, before he went on to the Pentagon. There, Obama down a large wreath at the start of the commemoration.

– It is a great honor for me to stand here with you again while I know still it is hard for you. It’s a day we’ll never forget, Obama said when he took to the stage to speak to the participants outside the Pentagon.

– 15 years may seem like a long time, but for the families who lost a part of their heart that day, I can imagine that it might seem as if it happened yesterday, continued Obama.

At its recent commemoration of Sept. 11 as president, also took Obama the chance to say a few words about the value of diversity in American society.
– Diversity is not a weakness but a great strength.
