On Wednesday the victims of the massacre in Orlando will be honored by the bell tower of City Hall. The Bell master will perform the song “I am what I am” , one of the songs from the musical “La Cage aux Folles.”

The song is about being who you are, and the action takes place in a drag club in Florida.
Last Sunday on 12 June, 50 people were killed and 53 were wounded in Orlando in what proved to be the worst mass shooting in US history. The killings occurred at a nightclub for gays.
– The terrorist attack at the weekend was an attack on one of our greatest assets, which is the freedom to love whom you want. The City Hall wants to honor the victims of the tragedy by playing the tune “I am what I am” by Jerry Herman, which is about being true to who you are, said the Chief Commissioner Raymond Johansen.
– Oslo will be an open and generous capital when Oslo Pride opens this weekend, and I hope a week also filled with joy and laughter as well as contemplation. That is how we best will honor those so brutally murdered, and show that we will not let ourselves be cowered into silence.
It is the bell ringer Laura Marie Rueslåtten who will perform the tune “I am what I am” by Jerry Herman from the musical “La Cage aux Folles.”
