Oslo takes another step toward becoming one of the greenest cities in the world.
Oslo has been named by trade magazine Green Building & Design (GB&D) as one of seven cities that are best planning for a greener future, along with Boston, Seattle, Melbourne, Cape Town, London and Bogotá.
GB&D cite Oslo’s work on turning the city centre into a car-free zone, its realistic goal of becoming completely climate neutral by the year 2030, as well as the efforts of state funded programme FutureBuilt as reasons for this honour.
