Party in the woods among secondary students

Police in Oslo removed hundreds of youths under 18 years old on Friday night out of Sognsvann with patrols. The party was in the woods, and it was discovered that at least five liquor taxis sold contraband.

– Approximately 600 young people under 18 were in the woods. There was alot of alcohol and drunk youth, tweeted police.

According to the newspaper VG the students were celebrating the start of school.

– This evening there is quite a few young people who are out in the dark. Many of them are drunk, and the majority of them are under 18, says operations Gjermund Stokkeli of the Oslo police to the newspaper.

Several of the youths ran into the forest when police tried to make contact with them.

According to police, this is something that recurs annually. They have put several preventive patrols in place, and requested assistance from the Natteravnene.

– Parents should remember that they are sending their children out into the woods to a place where there is no adult supervision. Particularly serious is the discovery of several liquor taxis in the parking lot, said the divisional manager at Majorstua Police, Johan Benitez, to Aftenposten.

In addition to seizing 15 liters of Smirnoff, police secured mobile numbers youngsters had used to get in touch with sprit dealers.
