The Islamic extremists who last month killed one of their hostages, has extended the deadline to pay ransom for the two hostages Kjartan Sekkingstad and Robert Hall.

In a video sent out by the group, the two hostages say that the kidnappers are threatening to kill at least one of them, if the ransom demanded by the kidnappers, is not paid by 13 June.
Abu Sayyaf guerrillas demands 600 million Philippine pesos (over 100 million Norwegian kroner) in ransom money to release the two hostages.
In April the  group killed the Canadian hostage John Ridsdel after an earlier deadline had passed.

The Norwegian Sekkingstad, Canadian Hall, Ridsdel and Halls Filipino girlfriend were abducted last year from a resort hotel on the island of Samal, hundreds of kilometers from the core areas of Abu Sayyaf .

On  Monday the newly elected president of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte, urged the group to set free the hostages or face the consequences.
