Police Immigration Service (PU) has not seen any changes in the refugee arrivals in the north since the EU / Turkey agreement was in place, but is aware of attempts to get to Norway by sea.
Russian police are on the lookout for human traffickers in Murmansk that are to have offered to bring refugees from the Kola Peninsula to Norway in their boats for a large amount of money, the newspaper Dagbladet writes. The trade was discovered by Russian authorities before the boats dropped anchor.
PUs communications manager Cecilie Johansen says there have been no indications that such a route would emerge. She emphasizes that  the refugees never left the Russian city. Johansen says PU cannot exclude that  a new route may appear in the north.
– We can not exclude that refugees can again come to Storskog border station, she says.
According to Russian media, two groups of refugees bought the boat trip to Norway. One consisted of around ten persons from Syria and Egypt, the other of an unknown number of people from Iran and Bangladesh. After being transported to Murmansk in cars, they were placed in apartments while they were waiting for boats that were to take them to Norway, news.ru   writes.
The refugees who were to travel to Norway in the boats had tourist visas. They will be sent out of Russia.
