Police expand pimp charges against 60-year-old in Bergen

A man in his 60s is charged with having sublet 16 apartments to prostitute in several Norwegian cities.

According to police, the man has leased eight apartments in Bergen and eight apartments in Trondheim and Oslo, written newspaper Bergens Tidende.

– I have not been involved in a case of such magnitude before, said police attorney Sigbjørn Oldern in Trøndelag police district as prosecutor’s charge of the case.

Tuesday April 5th police took some action at an apartment in central Bergen, where they uncovered a brothel and soon after arrested the man in Trondheim. 60-year-old from western Norway were taken into custody for four weeks South Trondelag District Court, but was released.

Specialized police units in Trondheim and Bergen have cooperated on the case and according to the newspaper police investigations focused on at least four Norwegian cities. Police expect to finish the investigation this week.
