Police inspector Ingve Flikka put all the cards on the table and promised to pay the fine he wrote out to himself for having used a handheld mobile while driving.

– It is fully deserved. I’ll pay the fine in the morning, said the police officer of Flekkefjord police to Fædrelandsvennen newspaper.

Ingve Flikka wrote out a fine to himself for 1300 kroner after someone wrote on Facebook that they had seen “a cop with his nose buried inside the mobile, as he drove his patrol car in Flekkefjord”.

– I do not remember if I just looked at the cell phone or actively used it, but I have in all cases broken the law. I therefore accept the fine and should learn from this, he said.

Earlier this summer, a police officer Arne Stavnes in Northern Buskerud received much attention when he wrote out fine for himself after not wearing a  lifejacket while in a patrol boat.
