A pop up restaurant in Oslo wants to encourage parents to make fish dishes suitable for children. More recipes are tested, and Monday Fisheries Minister Per Sandberg joined the inauguration.

– We are opening a restaurant that we call Children’s menu. The background is a survey showing that many parents have barriers when it comes to serving their kids fish, often because of bad experiences themselves, says marketing director Inger Saxebøl in Salma to news agency NTB.

Salmon producer believe it is a myth that children do not like fish, and they will now inspire parents to create dishes their kids like. Children who have been involved in developing and taste through the recipes, attended the opening on Monday.

Fisheries Minister was present at the opening and tested several of the dishes.
The restaurant in Stortingsgata will be open every day until Sunday with boasting activities like sushi courses and cookery shows.
