A prison officer from Oslo prison has been arrested and charged with having received bribes from the corruption accused lawyer Amir Mirmotahari.

Prison officer is accused of gross corruption and will be send out for remand in Oslo District Court on Friday, said section chief Rune Skjold in Finance and Environmental Section of the Oslo police to the newspaper VG.

The corruption was accused on Wednesday when lawyer was jailed for four weeks in Follo District Court. In connection with the remand hearing, it was announced that police have expanded indictment against 39-year-old.

It has earlier been known that Mirmotahari is accused of smuggling drugs into the clients in prisons. He is among others also reviewed by Bergen prison for two such conditions.

Amir Mirmotahari was before summer arrested and charged after a torpedo told he had been asked to kidnap a rape victim and to commit sabotage against a club in Fredrikstad.
