A criminal Russian hacker network recently managed to penetrate into the computer systems of a Norwegian financial institution. The digital bank robbery was however stopped.

This is the first time that the National Security Authority (NSM) has recorded attempt at a so-called digital bank robbery, says Hans Christian Pretorius, chairman of NSM’s cyber security department, told NRK news.
– We are aware that these Russian criminals have tried to go against the banks, and also received the international attention. But this is the first time we have been notified that they have come, and have tried to get in, in a Norwegian financial institution, says Pretorius.
He says they were notified by the financial institution that they were subjected to a targeted attack by Russian criminals. NSM operators helped the company to halt the attack.
