Selje in Nordfjord in Sogn og Fjordane was completely destroyed in a fire early on Friday. The hotel is closed in winter and no one was injured in the fire.

The hotel has been closed in winter since November 1st, and there were no people in the building when the fire broke out, but a dozen neighbors have been evacuated to a nearby school.
– The fire was reported at 3:38, and when fire crews arrived it was full of fire in one wing of the hotel, operations manager Marianne Føleide in Sogn og Fjordane police told news agency NTB.
She says that they are now fully confident that noone was living in the hotel. Currently, the cause of fire is unknown, and police could not say whether the fire originated inside or the origin of the fire is outdoors.
The firemen had Friday morning inspection, but they will be on site throughout the day.
