Known sex offenders have abused minors in Norwegian reception centers, NCIS.informs
The perpetrators are both residents of the reception centers and people who attend the reception centers, according to the-the newspaper Klassekampen.
– Unaccompanied minors and other children in the reception centers are especially vulnerable. We have seen that well-known sexual offenders frequently are visiting reception centers looking for unaccompanied minors, and there also have been reports of abuse, the leader Eivind Borge at the Police Department for the tactical investigation says to the newspaper.
He does not want to state the excact number of cases reported, except that several individual cases have been reported. At the same time, they think a large number of cases probably has gone unreported.
– We assume that the conditions means that many cases will not be reported. Several cases may be unknown to us because of the experience many of the asylum seekers may have with police and authorities in other countries, says Borge.
