The first weekend of September offers changing weather and temperatures on the regularly. It will be best on Østafjells, but everyone will see the sun.

– It will be a bit changeable weather, most places will get both rain and sun, said duty meteorologist Espen Biseth Granan at the Meteorological Department.

If you plan on traveling to the mountains, you may want to choose Rondane. Jotunheimen will get some rainfall, especially on the west side of the mountains. There will be no snow other than perhaps on the highest peaks.

Friday will be good in Eastern Norway, while precipitation is expected in Western Norway and Trøndelag. This precipitation will continue Saturday, but with some improvement throughout the day.

– Sunday there will be a shift, then a relief will come that dominates and gives a lot of good weather in Southern Norway, says Biseth Granan.

Even Bergen, which so far this year has received as much rain alone as Oslo, Trondheim and Tromso together, gets a respite on Sunday.

In Northern Norway there will be a lot of onshore wind and rain showers throughout the weekend. Troms and Finnmark could get some good weather on Saturday while Sunday will not be as good.
