Winter weather is creating difficult driving conditions on several mountain crossings in Nordland and Troms. Meteorologists warn of more snow in the north.
Monday started with winter weather and snow in many places in Nordland and Troms. It became slippery and people have been asked to drive carefully.
“Certainly, people must be careful. You can count on slush in the lowlands, which can make the roads slippery in the morning,” said meteorologist Lillian Bergheim of Storm to Avisa Nordland newspaper.
Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday in Nordland, according to Bergheim, will be characterised by biting weather and cold northerly winds.
‘’The snow line is between 300 and 600 meters. Unfortunately, it’s not the last time it’s going to snow. Until the temperature begins to rise, there will be snow at night,’’ she said.
On Thursday, however, it looks like turning, and by the weekend there will be a recovery. Friday to Sunday there will be a lot of sun and warmer temperatures.
“It’ll get better. It may not be terrific, but if you are lucky, it may reach 12 to 15 degrees in Bodø on Sunday,’’ she said.
