Young adults check their phones most often when they are alone, rather than when they are with people.

A new survey by SIFO, on young adults between 16 and 25 and their social media habits, shows that social media is not very popular at the dining table. Only 20 percent checks their phone during dinner time, while 57 percent checks their phone during toilet time.

The most popular place to check social media is at home, with 84 percent in the evening, 83 percent in the afternoon and 74 percent just before going to bed. 68 percent of the young adults check their social media right after they wake up, while 30 percent prefers to check the news on their phone after they wake up.

Social media is less checked when being with friends, during training or other activities.
