To avoid increased disunity by the British saying no to EU, Europe’s leaders need to stop blaming EU for all problems, said by Prime Minister Erna Solberg.

– The EU has been responsible for all the problems that should have been resolved by Federation and countries themselves, she said to NTB Saturday.

To illustrate the point Solberg referring to a statement from the previous European Commission’s President José Manuel Barroso:

– “If you use the entire week to blame Europe, you cannot expect that people vote for Europe on Sunday” said by him according to the Financial Times after the extreme parties went clear in the elections to the new European Parliament in spring 2014.
Solberg was concerned before the British EU referendum that a brexit may reinforce a trend towards smaller Cooperation in Europe to demand for referendums in several EU countries and increased support for anti-forces and extremism.
