Prime Minister Erna Solberg believes Barack Obama will be missed when he is no longer president.

– Obama is going to be missed because he has been an advocate for the fundamental values that must govern policy, and not just own interests.

He has been well-liked in very many countries, because we perceive that he is looking at the USA’s role as finding common solutions. His platform has been a platform that many have been able to see makes the world better, says Solberg news agency NTB.

She thinks Obama’s goodbye to the UN was a worthy point.

– It was a great farewell speech, and it was a good defense for the values we stand for, Solberg said, pointing out that she particularly liked Obama’s statements about the refugee crisis the world is facing.

Obama said in his speech that the country is blessed with wealth and a good geographic location, and must do more to help refugees.

– It is nice that he is saying that other countries should take in more refugees. Norway already takes many more than the United States relative to our size, so he should also begin at home, says Solberg.
