Prime Minister Erna Solberg lead the opening of Trygve Lie’s Square by the UN building in New York , together with Lie’s grandchildren among others .
Solberg is in the city in connection with the UN High level week, and the opening of the square by the United Nations building Sunday was the start of a hectic program over the coming days.
Lie’s grandsons Arthur and Will Zeckendorf was present at the opening of the square, which also has a new sculpture. “Bell of Peace” was designed by the Norwegian artist Lina Viste Grønli, who lives and works in Oslo and Boston.
Foreign Minister Brende also attended the opening of Lie’s Square.
