Prime Minister Erna Solberg has talked with British Prime Minister Theresa May about Brexit and how the relationship should be between the UK and Norway.

The telephone conversation took place on Wednesday, the same day as May have called the British Government to the first meeting after the summer break.

– It is too early to conclude how the British will organize its future relationship with the EU. We agreed to keep in touch to ensure efficient solutions, both bilaterally and in terms of the internal market.

It is important for us to safeguard Norwegian interests in this process, says Erna Solberg.
The two also talked about defense cooperation and the fight against terrorism and violent extremism.
