The controversial group Soldiers of Odin patrolled in Tromsø center for the first time Friday night.
– We are just ordinary guys that wants to make downtown safer, head of the Tromsø division of Soldiers of Odin, Sigbjørn Brox (33) says to Nordlys.
He maintains that they are neither Nazis or racists, and Brox believes the media has created a wrong image of the group.
– We want to be an extra set of eyes in the city at night, just like the Night Ravens. How could that be wrong, he asks.
The Soldiers of Odin was founded in Finland in October. Since then, local groups have been established in countries like Norway, Germany, Portugal, USA and Australia.
