Soon 15,000 winter warriors will arrive in Norway

Exercise Cold Response 2016 is approaching full capacity. Next week some 15,000 soldiers from 14 countries will come to the area between Værnes and Namsskogan in Nord-Trøndelag to practice winter war.
The NATO exercise  actually already started  on February 19 with a preparation phase. After this is finished the soldiers from Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, USA, Germany, Spain and the UK will join up with Norwegian forces in order to carry out the exercise from March 2 to March 9. The exercise ends with an exit and summary phase until 22 March.
Cold Response is a Norwegian rehearsal with international participation. The goal is to practice operations under harsh winter conditions, and both sea, land, air and special forces are taking part in the rehearsal.
