SpaceX signs the first tourist to fly around the moon

Elon Musk’s SpaceX announced on Thursday a new plan to fly the world’s first private passengers around the moon, saying they have signed their first customer.

The company stated that the journey on the vessel Big Falcon Rocket will be “an important step for giving access to anyone who dreams of travelling to space.”

‘’Only 24 people have been on the moon ever. Nobody has visited it since the last Apollo mission in 1972 in fact’’.

The company said there will be further details coming on Monday.

This is not the first time the company announced the plans.

In February, SpaceX stated that this would take place in 2018, but in June, the Wall Street Journal wrote that the plans were laid on ice until next year.

Last year, Musk stated that two private individuals had already paid a substantial deposit to participate in the first trip.
