Over 2,000 attempts stopped daily when users try to acces child abuse websites

Over 2000 times every day, Norwegian netizens is forwarded to the police stop sign for child abuse.

Between 700 and 1,000 sites are on NCIS ‘list of sites with abuse material to children, according to newspaper Bergens Tidende. When someone tries to access these pages, they will be forwarded to a stop page that informs them that they are heading to content that is illegal under Norwegian law.
NCIS says that between 2000 and 3000 are forwarded to this page every day. Who are stopped will not be logged.
– But if we had wanted and had the capacity, we could found 300 IPs in a short time, says Fredrik Skoglunn next section for sexual offenses in the Criminal Police.
