A streetcar and a police car collided at Grünerløkka in Oslo on Monday night. A police officer was pinned in their vehicle during the accident.
The officer who was stuck in the police car, was soon freed and taken to Ullevål hospital.

– We have personnel there who took care of him. We have not received any feedback from the hospital about the injuries, but it seems to have gone better than we feared, says operations manager Tor Jøkling of Oslo police. The injured police officer was conscious after the collision and complained of pain.

A passenger on the tram was checked by paramedics on site and then taken to the emergency department, said Jøkling.

We closed the road at the scene and the streetcar was kept there while the investigation was conducted. Police informed of traffic problems associated with this.

According to newspaper VG the police car was on an emergency call when the accident occurred. It was the patrol car itself who reported the collision on Toftes street at 1:07 am.
